Job detailsApplication formAbout JobCaregiverAs a caregiver at Heritage Pointe, you will provide care and companionship to our residents. Every day with our residents will look a little different, but in general, you will assist residents with showering, dressing, and toileting; accompany residents throughout the building and to events; and redirect residents who need reminders to take care of themselves or interact appropriately with others in our community.Mandatory RequirementsPass a Live scan Background Check for California Department of Social Services.Pass a pre-hire drug screening (non-THC), TB test, and physical.Must be available one weekend day a week.About Us – For People, Not for ProfitOur one-of-a-kind, nonprofit community is open to people of all backgrounds and faiths. Can you navigate these with patience, understanding and a positive attitude?Multi-task and reprioritize requests effectively: Can you juggle a request to toilet one resident, assist with bedtime routines for another, and take the resident you are currently helping down to the dining room for dinner?Ask for help: Shifts can be full of resident requests, questions, and concerns you do not know how to answer or address. Can you communicate with your team throughout your shift and keep everyone informed on how we can best support you?Have a willingness to learn: While some of our caregivers arrived with extensive caregiving and medical backgrounds, for many – this is their first experience in senior living.
