Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.
What Drives Success
Location: 100% Onsite
This CAD Designer will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare detail drawings of products from sketches using CAD equipment and associated peripheral equipment and software.
- Follow instructions and procedures.
- Perform non-complex detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.
- Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
- Contribute design modifications to improve the product quality and function.
What We Are Looking For
- A Vocational/Technical degree or certification in or related to CAD is required. An associate degree or higher in engineering, design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Requires at least 2 years related experience.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of design tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Create detailed drawings per Heatcraft standards. Modify existing and design new tubing and sheet metal.
- Follow instructions and procedures. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Complete engineering change requests.
- Contribute design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
- Create\modify Bills of Material
- Customer focused.
- Comfortable using a computer and proficient in Microsoft Office\Autocad\3D-CAD
- Knowledge of design tools, and principals involved in generating product documentation for use in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams with limited direction to meet customer needs.
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer with proficiency in software like Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of CNC turret programming, tool selection, and machine setup.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $67,000-$88,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
