The role will sit in Remediation CoE Support, bringing teams together to provide critical planning across the organisation’s portfolio of remediation projects. In Business Planning, we work with delivery teams, business analysts and data & tooling specialists, as well as the wider business, to ensure the portfolio is prioritised, progressed, effectively resourced, well coordinated and understood. In your role as a Business Support Consultant you will be driving planning and demand activity to ensure remediations deliver in a timely, controlled way, progressing through our Remediation Framework ensuring the right people are working on the right things, at the right time. You will also support the management of our data governance processes & controls reporting, and will work with subject matter experts and key stakeholders across the business, helping the leadership team understand, prioritise and progress the portfolio. You’ll identify opportunities to improve planning, coordination and reporting processes, helping us work more efficiently and effectively over time.

For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for supporting the prioritisation and coordination of the ambitious remediation agenda across a wide-ranging department, which can touch on almost any area of the organisation. You’ll be sharing knowledge, understanding requirements and dependencies, managing demand and working collaboratively to ensure teams are aligned.

You will use strong problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate a route through a complex, highly regulated environment, to balance a range of customer and business outcomes. You will be looking for opportunities to improve ways of working, streamlining planning and coordination across the portfolio.

Working with our senior consultants to manage our data governance, you’ll ensure that our data dictionaries and standard code are robust, with changes documented and tightly controlled.

A high standard of business writing, verbal communication and influencing is crucial, to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common goals, providing updates, recommendations and insight to agreed timescales and standards.

About you

For this role you will need experience in:

  • Demand management and prioritisation of a portfolio of change or project activities

  • Presenting information clearly, verbally, visually, and in writing, to a range of audiences including senior leaders, to influence and manage as stakeholders

  • Business support, governance, change or project delivery environments

  • Working independently on tasks, and with a range of stakeholders across the business

  • Process simplification, driving efficiencies, and improving ways of working

  • Power BI design experience, or willingness to learn how to use this tool
