ABB is undertaking a strategic transformation of its global learning and talent management ecosystem. We are implementing a high-quality Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP).
This 12-month role (starting July or August 2026) will serve 110,000 internal employees across 100+ countries and 40,000+ external learners (partners, customers, distributors).
We are seeking for an experienced Business Requirements, Testing and QA Lead to join our internal programme team. You will be the voice of the business throughout the implementation, translating user needs into clear requirements, coordinating comprehensive quality assurance and testing activities, and ensuring that the LMS/LXP platform meets ABB requirements, performance standards, and compliance before go-live
The work model for the role is: remote
Please note this position is with a fixed-term contract.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Business Requirements Gathering & Documentation, preparing and running structured requirements gathering sessions with ABB business stakeholders, and documenting business requirements in clear and detailed functional and non-functional specifications
Testing Strategy & Test Plan Development, coordinating with Implementation partner to develop comprehensive Testing Strategy covering all phases: unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, performance/load testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Test Scenario & Test Case Development, develop end-to-end test scenarios covering the following HR modules: LMS (enrolment, completion, certification), LXP (skills, personalized recommendations, career paths), external portal, integrations (Workday HCM, Teams, SSO, eCommerce), and data migration
UAT Leadership & Execution, Quality Assurance & Defect Management, overall testing plan and execution, and specifically UAT execution, tracking and sign-off documentation, running and establishing defect tracking and management process, coordinating quality gate reviews, providing quality metrics and dashboards to steering committee
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in business requirements analysis and leading testing activities within enterprise software implementations.
5+ years of experience in HR systems testing, including 4+ years leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and test management for large-scale projects (budgets exceeding €3M, complex integrations, and 100+ test participants).
Solid knowledge of testing approaches such as requirements-based testing, behavior-driven development (BDD), risk-based testing, and regression testing.Practical experience with learning management systems such as ExpertusOne, Absorb, Cornerstone OnDemand, or Workday Learning is a plus.
Relevant professional certifications are a plus, including ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis), or Workday certification.
