About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Embedded BSP Developer to join our Automotive Software Development team. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) for automotive ECU platforms. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, middleware, application, and OEM teams to support board bring-up, driver development, system integration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting activities throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain BSP solutions for Automotive ECU platforms.
- Port and integrate Linux, QNX, and RTOS-based software on new hardware platforms.
- Configure and customize Linux Kernel, Device Tree, Bootloader, and system software components.
- Customize vendor BSPs based on project and OEM requirements.
- Develop and maintain device drivers for:
- Ethernet
- CAN / CAN-FD
- LIN
- SPI
- I2C
- UART
- USB
- PCIe
- GPIO
- eMMC / UFS / Flash Storage
- Perform software bring-up activities for new ECU boards and prototype platforms.
- Validate hardware interfaces and support hardware-software integration activities.
- Collaborate with hardware teams during schematic reviews and board validation.
- Analyze and debug kernel, bootloader, driver, and hardware-related issues.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for system and field issues.
- Optimize system performance, including boot time, memory utilization, CPU loading, and power consumption.
Required Technical Skills
Programming & Development
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming.
- Experience in Embedded Software Development.
- Python and Shell scripting.
- Makefiles and GNU Build Systems.
- Yocto Build System and BitBake recipe development.
BSP & Platform Expertise
- BSP development on Linux and/or QNX platforms.
- Linux Kernel architecture and customization.
- Device driver development and debugging.
- Board bring-up and hardware enablement.
- Bootloader development (U-Boot, Fastboot, etc.).
- Device Tree configuration.
- Memory management and performance optimization.
- RTOS concepts and low-level firmware development.
Hardware Knowledge
- ARM-based SoC platforms such as NXP, Qualcomm, Renesas, TI, NVIDIA, etc.
- Serial communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C.
- Storage interfaces: eMMC, NAND Flash, NOR Flash.
- Hardware schematic reading and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Automotive ECU platforms and embedded system architecture.

- Knowledge of Automotive Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and system integration activities.
