Job description
We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting MS SQL Database including Failover Cluster, Always ON Setup and new server provisioning, Transaction replication, Link Servers, Hardening, and patching in day-to-day operations.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Monitor generated log and event files indicating errors that will result in an incident2) DR Database availability Monitoring3) Monitor database log replication4) Report Status of Log Replications as per agreed schedules5) Session/Query/Log/Latch monitoring6) Monitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate an imminent failure7) Purging database Logs and trace files8) Periodic config review to maintain consistent configurations9) Review and recommendation to maintain availability10) Monthly report on database availability11) Monitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate imminent failure.12) Reinstall Database software13) Reconfigure log Shipping14) Transaction replication Configuration15) Link Servers configuration16) Failover clustering 17) Always ON18) Responding to database related incidents and driving corrective action19) Tuning DB parameters20) Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problemmanagement process21) Use trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize and create Problems ManagementRecords.22) Restoration of database23) Creating jobs/job schedule for routine/Maintenance jobs & Rebuilding of indexes24) Purging database Logs and trace files & Performance Management25) Defragmentation of Database and performance tuning26) Manage all Service requests through the change management process27) Automate administration tasks where possible28) Manage and update all Database environment documentationTechnical Skills/Knowledge Requirement 1) Database Installation and troubleshooting (Must)2) Always ON Cluster configuration and Management (Must)3) Failover Cluster Management (Must)4) patching and Failover cluster and Always ON (Must)5) Replication and Link Server configuration (Must)6) Database Patching and Hardening (Must)7) Job Scheduling and Maintenance plan8) Database Migration (Must)9) Troubleshooting on DB performance issue.We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team.
