Overview
The Bell/Valet Attendant provides exceptional guest service by assisting with luggage, safely parking and retrieving vehicles, and providing guests with information about the hotel and surrounding area.
The role requires a professional, courteous and safety-conscious individual who creates a positive arrival and departure experience while ensuring guest vehicles and belongings are handled with care.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently park and retrieve guest vehicles in accordance with hotel procedures and traffic regulations.
- Assist guests with luggage, room changes, deliveries and other guest requests.
- Escort guests to rooms and provide information on hotel services, amenities and the surrounding area.
- Maintain accurate vehicle, luggage and claim-ticket records.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby, driveway and bell/valet areas.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Security and other hotel departments to respond effectively to guest needs.
- Report vehicle damage, accidents, safety concerns or suspicious activity promptly.
- Provide attentive, courteous and professional service throughout the guest experience.
Qualifications &
Qualifications
- Valid driver's permit with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Previous experience in guest service, hospitality, valet or a similar customer-facing role would be an asset.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Professional appearance, sound judgement and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to handle guest vehicles and belongings responsibly and with appropriate care.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing and handling luggage.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
