Job description

A welcoming Catholic secondary school in Manchester is looking to appoint a Behaviour Manager on a full-time, permanent basis from October 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a school with a strong reputation for pastoral care, where you'll work closely with students, staff, and families to promote positive behaviour, improve engagement, and help every young person reach their full potential.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced pastoral team, you'll support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 while helping to maintain the school's calm and purposeful learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading behaviour interventions for students requiring additional support

  • Working alongside Heads of Year, safeguarding, and SEND teams

  • Supporting restorative practice and reintegration meetings

  • Monitoring behaviour, attendance, and punctuality

  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies

  • Maintaining accurate behaviour records and reports

The Successful Candidate

You'll be a confident communicator who can build positive relationships, manage challenging situations effectively, and encourage students to make lasting improvements.
