Key Responsibilities

  • Teach high-quality Art & Design lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)

  • Plan, resource, and execute engaging practical units covering drawing, painting, 3D design, printmaking, and digital media

  • Guide Sixth Form students through portfolio preparation for entry into top art foundation programs and university creative degrees

  • Organize, curate, and host annual end-of-year art exhibitions and gallery showcases

  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in art studios, managing materials, equipment, and hazardous chemicals safely

  • Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and wellbeing of your assigned year group

  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to refine schemes of work and art history contextual resources

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Art & Design department
