Wage: $22.16/HR
Schedules:
1) Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 7:30am-5:30pm
2) Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently, our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information as needed and serve as a physical deterrent on site.

What Your Day May Look Like
- Routine site patrols both on foot and in vehicle checking for safety and security threats.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations where appropriate escalation and use of force may be required.
- Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing, and the community.
- Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized or suspicious activity, emergency situations, etc.
- Screen all persons coming through public entrances preventing any prohibited items from entering the facility.
- Monitor surveillance systems and utilize site equipment and technology.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet and applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for security officers.
Position Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Above average computer / technology skills needed.
- Prior military, law enforcement, or armed security experience preferred.
- IPAT evaluation required.
- Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
- Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
- Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
