Position Overview
The Hotel Analyst will support JLL's Hotels & Hospitality team in Riyadh, providing market analysis, financial modeling, and advisory services for hotel investments and operations in Saudi Arabia's rapidly evolving hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis
Conduct comprehensive market research on Riyadh's hotel sector, including supply and demand dynamics, competitive positioning, and emerging trends. Monitor new hotel developments, tourism initiatives, and regulatory changes affecting the hospitality industry. Prepare regular market reports analyzing occupancy rates, average daily rates (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR) across different segments.
Financial Analysis & Modeling
Build and maintain financial models for hotel valuations, feasibility studies, and investment analysis. Analyze hotel operating statements, identify performance trends, and benchmark properties against comparable assets. Support due diligence processes for hotel transactions and portfolio acquisitions.
Client Support & Reporting
Prepare presentations, reports, and investment memoranda for clients and internal stakeholders. Assist senior team members in client meetings and property tours. Respond to client inquiries with timely, accurate market data and analysis.
Data Management
Maintain databases of hotel performance metrics, transaction records, and market intelligence. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting platforms. Develop visualization tools and dashboards to present complex data clearly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate analysis, hospitality consulting, or related fields
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency preferred
- Knowledge of hospitality industry metrics and hotel operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hotel market analysis or hospitality consulting
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 tourism initiatives
- PowerPoint presentation skills
- CoStar, STR, or similar hospitality data platforms experience
- Professional certifications (CFA Level I, MRICS candidate) are a plus
