AI Engineer

Job Title: AI EngineerLocation: Denver, CO (2-3 days onsite)Contract: 6-12 months Contract To Hire C2H Job Summary:Seeking an operational AI governance professional who owns the day-to-day mechanics of AI governance. This role involves maintaining the inventory of AI/agent solutions, tracking controls and evidence, processing intake, validating data/identity/connectors/privacy requirements, monitoring usage/cost/control thresholds, and producing governance reporting. Key Responsibilities:· Maintain an authoritative inventory of AI assets including: - Owner - Purpose - Connectors - Data sources - Risk tier - Review date - Understand AI governance beyond just GRC/compliance.· Work closely with builders in Copilot/agentic environments and engage in hands-on work as necessary.· Manage governance dashboards/reporting.· Ensure Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, connectors, and identity/access controls are implemented. Required Skills:· Understanding of AI governance / Responsible AI / AI controls.· Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Agentic AI concepts and workflows.· Experience in AI asset/inventory management.· Exposure to low-code development.· Ability to understand how agents are built and deployed.· Strong communication and fit within culture.
