The Role

\u00A0

We are seeking an Analyst, Claims Analytics to support analytic engagements that help health plans better understand claims data, identify cost and utilization trends, improve reimbursement accuracy, and enhance operational performance.

\u00A0

This role will support the analytics pod, with a focus on medical management and prior authorization use cases. The Analyst will work closely with Consultants and Senior Consultants to execute analyses, develop data-driven insights, and contribute to client deliverables.

Work You\u2019ll Do

  • Support claims analytics projects across payer and provider clients
  • Execute SQL, python scripts and analyses on large healthcare datasets
  • Run Statistical analyses to support data profiling and other related analyes
  • Work with medical, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and pricing data
  • Assist in identifying utilization patterns, cost drivers, and reimbursement trends
  • Validate data accuracy and support quality assurance processes
  • Build dashboards and reports using BI tools to support client insights
  • Translate analytical findings into clear summaries and presentations
  • Collaborate with Consultants and Senior Consultants on project execution
  • Support documentation of methodologies and analytic approaches
  • Participate in client discussions and internal working sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience working with healthcare claims data or health plan datasets
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing large datasets
  • Experience with Snowflake, Python, Excel, or similar analytics tools
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Basic understanding of healthcare reimbursement concepts and claims data structures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and structured way
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Exposure to medical management, utilization management, prior authorization, or clinical operations
  • Experience working with health plans or consulting firms
  • Experience with automated analytic workflows or ETL processes
  • Familiarity with healthcare coding systems including CPT, HCPCS, ICD, DRG, and APC
  • Experience building dashboards or recurring analytics reports
  • Based in Chicago, IL, with flexibility to work from the Chicago office as needed

The Role

We are seeking an Analyst, Claims Analytics to support analytic engagements that help health plans better understand claims data, identify cost and utilization trends, improve reimbursement accuracy, and enhance operational performance.

This role will support the analytics pod, with a focus on medical management and prior authorization use cases. The Analyst will work closely with Consultants and Senior Consultants to execute analyses, develop data-driven insights, and contribute to client deliverables.

Work You\u2019ll Do

  • Support claims analytics projects across payer and provider clients
  • Execute SQL, python scripts and analyses on large healthcare datasets
  • Run Statistical analyses to support data profiling and other related analyes
  • Work with medical, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and pricing data
  • Assist in identifying utilization patterns, cost drivers, and reimbursement trends
  • Validate data accuracy and support quality assurance processes
  • Build dashboards and reports using BI tools to support client insights
  • Translate analytical findings into clear summaries and presentations
  • Collaborate with Consultants and Senior Consultants on project execution
  • Support documentation of methodologies and analytic approaches
  • Participate in client discussions and internal working sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience working with healthcare claims data or health plan datasets
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing large datasets
  • Experience with Snowflake, Python, Excel, or similar analytics tools
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Basic understanding of healthcare reimbursement concepts and claims data structures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and structured way
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Exposure to medical management, utilization management, prior authorization, or clinical operations
  • Experience working with health plans or consulting firms
  • Experience with automated analytic workflows or ETL processes
  • Familiarity with healthcare coding systems including CPT, HCPCS, ICD, DRG, and APC
  • Experience building dashboards or recurring analytics reports
  • Based in Chicago, IL, with flexibility to work from the Chicago office as needed
