The role is essential for ensuring the delivery of business value and that production applications remain stable with excellent performance and optimal scalability. You will work in an Agile scrum team environment, in close collaboration with business partners, product owners, architecture and other IT partners.As part of the AT Claim Organization, you will be responsible for code deliverables on both long and short-term projects effectively, while working collaboratively in inter-departmental settings to accomplish tasks and goals. The Claim Organization is accountable for CVS Health’s Health Care Benefits division (Aetna) commercial claim processing and the surrounding ecosystem of commercial claim applications to support internal business operations and the external Member and Provider experience.Responsibilities:Develop mainframe applications according to customer specifications and requirementsParticipate in requirements gathering and design sessionsWork as part of a team to ensure solutions are designed to fully function in an integrated application suiteDesign and develop solutions that enable applications to perform optimally, and which can scale to meet future business needsPerform thorough unit and integration testing, and support QA testing and deployment activitiesMonitor systems to ensure that they are functioning properlyAnalyze and optimize applications; troubleshoot and resolve any issuesCreate and maintain documentation related to mainframe applicationsStay current with the latest trends in the industryClosely interact with project managers, business analysts, and other developers, both locally and remoteRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience with the following:Mainframe development and support, utilizing several of the following technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, SQL, MQ, Xpeditor, Endevor or similar source control applicationSystems analysisSoftware design principles and software architectureAgile delivery methodologies5+ years of experience with large-scale offshore vendor support arrangementsPreferred Qualifications5+ years of healthcare experience in one or more of these areas:Claim AdjudicationClaim Payment/Banking, Electronic Funds TransferExperience with healthcare claim administrationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage changing prioritiesAbility to multitask effectively, prioritizing business impact and urgencyAbility to work in a team environment to deliver projectsBeing a self-starter, who takes initiative with challenging situationsEducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$118,450.00 - $260,590.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
