This is not a small, tired operation - it is a well-organised independent garage with a steady flow of work and a genuine focus on customer service. This role will suit either an experienced workshop controller who is reliable and organised, and ready to take ownership of the day to day operations within the workshop. The role will involve: Allocate service, repair and diagnostic work to technicians based on their skill setMonitor individual technician performance and ensuring jobs are completedAct as the technical bridge for the service advisors, providing updates so the customers can be kept up to dateLiaising with technicians to keep track of work in progressOverseeing quality control checks on all completed work, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop satisfiedTo oversee the parts coordination by monitoring the arrival of parts and ensuring technicians have everything required to do the jobTo be able to motivate, mentor and manage the workshop teamMaking sure customers receive a professional and well-managed experience throughout We are looking for: Previous experience as a Service Advisor, or a customer-focused background within the motor tradeStrong communication and customer service skillsGood organisation and the ability to manage a busy workloadConfidence in dealing with customers in a professional wayAutomotive or mechanical knowledge would be an advantageA positive attitude and willingness to learn What is on offer: £32,000-£45,000 salary depending on experienceMonday to Friday hours onlyA modern, professional independent garage environmentVaried day-to-day work in a busy roleOngoing training and developmentThe chance to join a growing business with a strong local reputation If you are looking for a Workshop Manager opportunity within a modern independent garage that takes pride in both its standards and customer experience, we would love to hear from you.
